Where to have a bachelor party

You need to consider how many people are going to attend the party first. Once you know that, it will be a lot easier to decide on where. If its just a handful of guys, it probably doesn't make sense to rent a hall.

Some advice for throwing a larger party

If you're going to invite a lot of people, you should sell them tickets in advance. You're going to need the cash to help cover expenses. Don't go overboard with beer & booze. Get a decent brand 1/2 keg or two and some cheap booze for mixers like vodka, rum, and canadian whiskey.

Calculate all of your costs. Add at least 10% to that for unexpected expenses. Then divide it by the number of people you expect to have attend. This will give you an approximate starting point for how much to sell the tickets for. If you think there are going to be 50 or more people, you might be over optimistic. You'll also find that by adding strippers to the bill, the party costs are way higher. Try to keep ticket prices as close to $20 as possible. If you are having strippers you can charge more. Guys will whine about ticket prices. Do your homework before printing tickets. Once they're sold, you better honor the price.

If you're selling tickets, you're going to have to provide food as well as drinks. You're also going to have to provide some form of entertainment for the guys. Have a card tournament or at least a bunch of decks laying around for people to start their own games. The groomsmen should all share the responsibility of selling tickets. If they don't push them, they won't sell.
